Ashley Cottage
Ashley Cottage is located in Chideock village which is set in rolling West Dorset countryside. The cottage has been in our family for many years and we feel that it is particularly homely with most things needed for a pleasant and comfortable stay. It is near the top of Ruins Lane, a quiet cuI de sac, and has a large orchard garden to the rear and sufficient parking for two cars.

The Picturesque village of Chideock has everything you will need within easy walking distance. There are two well stocked shops, one with long opening hours and the other a Post Office and Newsagents. Also there are two Pubs, and two Hotels.

It is a pleasant one mile walk from Ashley to the seaside and it is suitable for both bikes and pushchairs. At Seatown, the small hamlet on the National Trust coastline, is the local shingle beach, where there is a Pub, Shop, Car Park and Toilet. One mile to the West is the famous cliff called Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast with far reaching views.

The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking and the bathing at Seatown is quite safe. Locally there are plenty of interesting places to visit, details of which we leave in the cottage.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms, three downstairs rooms, plus kitchen and bathroom/toilet.

We have a large half acre orchard to play in at the back

There is also hard standing and parking for 2 cars.
